Top 5 Medical Apps in the United Kingdom Q1 2023

The first quarter of 2023 has seen notable trends in the performance of the top five medical apps on a unified platform in the United Kingdom. Data provided by Sensor Tower offers a closer look at weekly downloads and active users for NHS App, Patient Access, myGP®, Babylon Health, and Livi – See a Doctor by Video.

NHS App showed a strong presence with weekly downloads peaking at 54.3K in early January and maintaining around 40K to 50K throughout the quarter. Weekly active users remained robust, starting at 896.8K in late December and peaking at approximately 1.25M in early January, ending the quarter with 1.23M.

Patient Access experienced consistent weekly downloads, fluctuating between 12.3K and 17.7K. The app's active user base started at 72.5K in late December, with a slight increase to 83.3K in early January, and stabilized around 80K towards the end of March.

myGP® had a notable spike in downloads, reaching nearly 20K in mid-March, although the general trend was around 7K to 10K per week. Active users saw a significant rise from 23.7K in late December to 41.9K in mid-March, before settling at around 34.1K by the end of the quarter.

Babylon Health maintained a steady flow of downloads, starting the quarter with 4.5K and peaking at 8.4K in early January. Active users showed a slight decline from 21.7K in early January to around 19.2K by the end of March.

Livi – See a Doctor by Video had a more variable download trend, peaking at 7.4K in mid-January and hovering around 3.5K to 6.5K throughout the quarter. Active users started at 5.9K in late December, peaked at 7.9K in mid-January, and ended the quarter at approximately 4.3K.
